Building Project
The walls are going up, and we need $125,000 by November 1 to keep construction moving before the rainy season. We need $250,000 by December 31 to get the building completed and ready for the students to move in for the new year starting in January.
In 2003, Linus and Liz Kirimi moved into the Misiri slum of Limuru, Kenya, to live among "the least of these" (Matthew 25:40) - and began with something simple: a feeding program for children whose parents were dying of AIDS.
That one act of obedience became Christlike Academy— today a fully accredited Christian school serving 400+ students and 250 families, with 850 meals prepared every school day. Last year, every single 8th grader passed the national exams. And a waitlist of children is hoping for the same lifeline.
There's one problem: the 8,500 square foot building they rent for the school is condemned. The children are permitted to remain in it only temporarily.
The response has already been remarkable. More than $300,000 has been given in faith, land has been purchased, and construction of a new 27,000 square foot school is well underway. Now we need to finish it, and we'd love for you to finish it with us!
